July/August Checklist:
1.) How's your sprinkler system? How about your drip system? The hot and dry weather makes it important to insure that all is working well.

2.) Remove hiding places for garden pests. Review your yard and garden area for "stuff" that can become a home for those pests. As it gets hotter, they hide out where it's cool. Some examples include: look for water collectors (to thwart mosquito breeding grounds) and cardboard or newspaper (earwigs love to live here).

3.) Isn't fun to enjoy watching your vegetable garden grow? The same garden you could only dream about when it was 34 degrees outside back in January. Some selective pruning of tomato stems that form too close to the soil would be in order about now.
